Holland Shopping Centre has an extensive selection of Delft blue products. The hand-painted items are the finest quality, carefully and intricately designed. Our other Delft blue items are screen-painted or printed and thus are less costly than the hand-painted. We have dozens of kitchen, household, and decorative items, from teapots and napkin holders to vases and kissing couples. We also offer a selection of Delft blue ceramic plates and tiles. Several of Johannes Vermeer's paintings have been replicated onto tiles, while the ambacht (trade) tiles have the paintings by Jan Luyken. Many customers enjoy our saying tiles with up-building and humourous messages. In addition to the Delft blue, we have tiles and plates with coloured and blue scenes. These have pictures of many traditional Dutch settings, including mills, clogmakers, tulippickers, and many more. Our trivets and wooden frames are useful accessories for these tiles. The Delft blue birth tiles and plates are hand-painted in Holland. A customer provides the information about a baby - birth date, weight, etc. - which is then painted onto a tile or plate. Wedding plates are also available, with spaces for the names, date and place. These tiles and plates take 6-10 weeks for manufacturing and shipping and are sent directly from Holland to you or the recipient. The Boerenbont
china pattern was traditionally painted by farmers' wives. Manufactured
by Royal Boch in Belgium, this china's distinctive red, blue and green
floral pattern is hand-painted. With its bright colours and simple lines,
the Boerenbont pattern continues to be popular throughout North America.
We have a wide selection of Boerenbont items: teapots, plates, canisters,
and much more. We also sell "side items," which are not made by Royal
Boch but use the Boerenbont pattern. |
