Short bread Cookies

made with Koopmans Self Rising Flour

Koopman's Bakmeel - 500gr
Preparation Time: approx. 40 min. Baking time 15-20 min.

Ingredients:

250gr. (8 7/8 oz.) Koopmans Zelfrijzend Bakmeel (1/2 package)

200gr. (7 1/8 oz.) Butter or Margarine

125gr. (4 3/8 oz.) Yellow Sugar

A Pinch of Salt

1 Egg

For garnish: Almonds, Walnuts, Hazelnuts, and Fine Candy Sugar

Directions:

  • Preheat the oven: Electric: 180°C (355°F) Convection: 165°C (330°F)

  • Cut the butter or margarine into little pieces in the mixing bowl.

  • Add the Zelfrijzend Bakmeel, Sugar, a pinch of salt and ½ of a slightly beaten egg.

  • With your hands knead it all together .

  • Roll into little balls (will make approx. 40), and flattening them a little bit onto a cookie sheet .

  • Brush the cookies with the rest of the slightly beaten egg, and sprinkle some of the nuts &/or the candy sugar over top.

  • Bake just below the middle in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
