Atlanta Mix for Spice Cake

Preparation Time: approx. 15 minutes
Baking Time: approx. 60 minutes
Ingredients:
1 Package of Atlanta Mix for Spice Cake
225mL (1 cup) Warm Water (approx. 30°C)
Directions:
Preheat the oven: Electric: 160°C (320°F) Convection :145°C (295°F)
Put the mix for spice cake into a bowl and add the warm water. Stir only until all is mixed.
Do not use an electric mixer or over-mix the batter.
Grease the loaf pan, and pour in the batter.
Bake for 55-65 minutes.
The cake is done if a toothpick in the centre of the cake comes out clean.
Let cool.
Tips & Varieties:
If your oven is too hot, a “peak” will form. If that is the case, lower temperature of oven next time you make this recipe.
You can add a variety of fillings, such as: nuts, currants, and raisins. see also the quick microwave recipe
