Ingredients:

300gr. (10 5/8 oz) Rice
250gr. (8 7/8 oz) Ham Pieces
1 slice of Ham (approx 100gr. (3 ˝ oz))
2 tbsp (30mL) Vegetable Oil
250gr. (8 7/8 oz) Soup Vegetables, parsley,celery,carrots,onions, cauliflower etc. - all finely chopped.
1 Package Knorr Mix for Nasi
150mL (5/8 cup) WaterPrepared Saté, (see Shish Kebob recipe) made with chicken or pork
Prepared Peanut Sauce
Kroepoek (Shrimp Crackers)

Directions:

  1. Cook the rice as indicated on the package. Let stand.
  2. Cut up the ham pieces and the slice of ham, set aside the last part.
  3. In hot oil cook the ham pieces until brown.
  4. Add the soup vegetables and the cut up slice of ham and cook.
  5. Combine the water and the package together.
  6. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  7. Turn down to a low temperature and let the sauce cook for 2-3 minutes.
  8. Combine with meat, vegetables and rice and stir well.
    Serve with Saté, Peanut sauce and Kroepoek (shrimp crackers).

Serves 4 people.
