Ingredients:

300gr. (10 5/8 oz) Rice
250gr. (8 7/8 oz) Speklapjes, lean thick bacon slices
1 Red Onion
˝ Red Paprika
˝ Green Paprika
2 Carrots
2 Eggs
2 tbsp (30mL) Vegetable Oil
1 package of Knorr Mix for Nasi
2 tbsp (30mL) Ketjap Manis
150mL (5/8 cup) Water

Directions:

  1. Cook the rice according to the instructions on the package.

  2. Cut the speklapjes into cubes, and the red onion into pieces.

  3. Remove the seeds from the paprika and cut into small pieces.

  4. Peel the carrots and cut into small pieces.

  5. With hot oil cook the meat until brown with the red onion and paprika.

  6. Add the carrots and the egg to the meat and vegetables.

  7. Mix the package with the water.

  8. Bring the sauce to a boil, stirring constantly.

  9. Turn down to a low temperature and let the sauce cook for 2-3 minutes.

  10. Combine everything together and serve.

  11. Serves 4 people.

Tips & Variations:

Serve with Saté and Peanut sauce.
